Switch alignments while holding down the square button when your reaver energy is full to change the spell without losing your full bar.

Finish the game and save it to memory card.
Cardboard Tube Reaver:
Pause the game when using Kain, then hit Up, Down, Left, Right, R2, L2, Triangle, Down, Circle. Your Reaver will be replaced with a cardboard tube.
